The era begins in Texas: 'Here come da Judge!' (April 25-29, 1990)

     Courses used: (designer, year opened)

Slick Rock Course (Robert Trent Jones Sr., 1972)

Apple Rock Course (Robert Trent Jones Sr., 1986)

Ram Rock Course (Robert Trent Jones Sr., 1981)

The original 12 (well, 13 actually, with two Texas AP stalwarts subbing in for someone who went onto DL). And the original winner, behind the coffee stains and all, on lone surviving record of that first gathering.

Photo at top left: The No. 14 hole at Slick Rock, the first “Million Dollar Hole.” It features a winding cart path that takes golfers on a ride through
a waterfall that spans more than 35 yards and dumps more than 8,000 gallons of water into Slick Rock creek each minute. Aim left of that tree on
right side of the fairway and you'll be just fine.
